Surely you’ve heard about the illegitimate Supreme Court finishing off the Voting Rights Act once and for all, calling it a victory for the “colorblind Constitution.”

Sounds great, right? Wrong.

What MAGA means by a “colorblind Constitution” and a “colorblind society” is a government that pretends that racial discrimination and persecution do not exist. MAGA’s means of practicing blindness to color-based injustice and persecution include ceasing collection of data that prove racial discrimination and pretending that right wing racially motivated violence doesn’t matter.

MAGA’s idea of “color blindness” amounts to burying damning facts and stats in the white sands of racism and proud, willful ignorance. Out of sight, out of mind; out of the actuarial stats, out of existence.

When MAGA touts a “colorblind society,” they really mean a society that no longer takes note or keeps records of the ethnicity or skin color of the people whom MAGA victimizes.
