We all know that MAGA hates freedom with a passion, but it’s uncommon for them to attack an icon of American liberty itself. But this cutthroat MAGA tyrant tells all:

It is no accident that these goddess of liberty (queen of heaven) statues proliferated when they did in the 1800s.  It was associated with official proclamation of the immaculate conception of Mary, queen of heaven, our Lady.  And America gave our Lady the honor she was due, just as any nation corrupted by Romanism should.
 
But worse than the statue itself, is the wicked view of liberty the statue represents and that most Americans adore.  It is **not** liberty as the Bible defines it, but liberty free of obedience to Christ and Christ’s Law.

What is plainly obvious is MAGA’s redefinition of “liberty” to mean almost the opposite of itself. But notice the smear against “Romanism.” This is the ultra-hardcore Reformed slur term for Roman Catholicism. To any Catholics reading this, you too are on MAGA’s list for persecution. You’re just not near the top of the hate list like the LGBTQ+ community.

But let’s see just whom this guy rubs elbows with. In this post at Puritans.net, backed up here, he counts as fellow “theonomists” people such as Steve Schlissel, Steve Wilkins, Doug Wilson, Andrew Sandlin, Paul Murphy, Rod Martin, and Martin Murphy.

Doug Wilson. That name may sound familiar to many who closely follow MAGA extremism. And whom did he share a stage with at a recent MAGA conference in Washington D. C.?

That guy. Albert Mohler. You know, the guy who believes that all able-bodied women should be required to bear children.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking. What makes this one guy representative of the entire MAGA leadership?

Project 2025 does. It nearly quotes this guy:

When the Founders spoke of “pursuit of Happiness,” what they meant might be understood today as in essence “pursuit of Blessedness.” That is, an individual must be free to live as his Creator ordained—to flourish. Our Constitution grants each of us the liberty to do not what we want, but what we ought.

It turns out that this guy isn’t a one-off after all. Check these out:

“CHAPTER 69 : ‘BABYLON’ AT ITS HEIGHT” — “The statue personifies humanistic liberty and freedom, breaking free from the religious establishment of the past. America has lighted the world with its secularist vision.” (Explainer: The terms “humanistic” and “secularist” are being used in a very hateful, contemptuous manner.)

“Paganism and the Statue of Liberty!” Another “God hates America for our freedoms” rant.

“IS THE STATUE OF LIBERTY PAGAN?” “To come out from it we must first of all identify it. Babylon stands identified — and the statue to the Babylonian Queen of Heaven, known as the Statue of Liberty, also stands revealed! May YHWH help us to “Come out of Babylon” in every way!”

All MAGA hate the concept of liberty. And some of them come right out and say that they hate even the symbol of liberty.
