Do you remember the right wing feverishly claiming that vaccines, especially the COVID-19 vaccine, secretly injected a microchip into your body so that the government could track you and gain control of everyone? This conspiracy even led people to attack 5G network facilities.
The next proton to squeeze into this nucleus is the right wing’s hatred of electric vehicles, “EVs” for short. The Verge reports that “The red-state backlash against electric vehicles is incoherent — and gaining steam.” Republicans strive tirelessly to stymie the acceptance of EVs and do everything possible to roll back “Biden’s green agenda.”
Well, of course. To MAGA, anything that hints at taking care of our planet is a totalitarian project of “environmentalists.” And to MAGA, “environmentalist” is just another word for “tree hugger.” And “tree hugger” is nothing more than a derogatory term for “hippie.”
Vast numbers of MAGA’s inexplicable hatreds can ultimately be traced to an eternal grudge against Hippies and the 1960s counterculture. Just pick an object of MAGA hate – any hate – and then build a chain of synonyms like the one given above. More often than not, you’ll find a hippie at the end of the “hate chain.”
Give it a try for yourself. Start with, say, Global Warming, construct the synonym and relationship chain, and see where you end up.
No wonder MAGA hates EVs. EVs validate environmentalists, and environmentalists are tree huggers, and tree huggers are hippies. See how this works?
It’s no secret that Elon Musk is the undisputed king of the EV. His involvement in using SpaceX to pollute space with tens of thousands of Starlink satellites is also common knowledge. You know, the satellites being launched by the same SpaceX that is developing 5G direct links to cellphones.
Less well known is Elon Musk’s involvement in developing actual “Neuralink” brain implants. Brain implants! Think embedded microchips would be a scary government monitoring project? Brain implants are a thousand times scarier and more invasive.
Yet MAGA now adores Elon Musk, the undisputed king of their hated EVs, 5G networks and microchips I mean brain implants almost as much as they worship Trump!
Hate.
Hate is the simple glue for simple minds that compels MAGA to adore the man who is at the center of developing their feared EVs, 5G networks, and implanted microchips. Hate is the force that is strong enough to overcome their repulsion to EVs, 5G networks, and implanted microchips. They now adore Musk because he hates the same people that they do.
You can’t make this shit up.
