Robert Morris, a former Trump advisor, will serve six months in an Oklahoma jail under a ten-year suspended sentence. Morris, the founder of the financially troubled Gateway Church in the Dallas, Texas suburb of Southlake, will also register as a sex offender.

Those who spend every waking hour obsessing about the adventures of other people’s pee-pees, pudenda, and pelvic regions, often have great difficulty with containing their own. Unfortunately, they benefit for the assumptions of trust that many Americans extend to the ostensibly deeply religious.

But buried in the details is that the church initially characterized the allegations as an “extramarital affair” with a “young lady.”

The description of the victim as a “young lady” is in keeping with the belief among some of MAGA’s inner hard core that child marriage is not only tolerable, but acceptable. A leading organization in the child marriage movement suggests that a child becomes a “young lady” upon physical development: “At what age do children become men or women? It varies. Every child matures physically at different rates.”

Physical development at age 12 is not that uncommon. Remember that a MAGA lawmaker in Missouri defended marriage at age 12. Trump himself recently argued that Hepatitis B vaccines should not be given before 12 years of age, stating that “Hepatitis B is sexually transmitted.”

Hmmm.

I am reminded of another hatemongering, freedom-hating wannabe religious dictator Judge Roy Moore facing credible allegations of forcing a 14 year old girl into a sexual encounter at age 32. The allegations were too much for some Alabamians, who responded by electing Democrat Doug Jones to a Senate seat.

Moore, who, unsurprisingly, founded the sex-obsessed right wing organization Foundation for Moral Law, responded to the allegations in typical MAGA fashion, dismissing it as liberal “fake news.” But a majority of Alabamians weren’t buying it, as Moore lost his Senate race to a Democrat.

This leads me to an eye-opening conclusion: MAGA cannot be Christian, by definition. Why?

To become a Christian, at least in evangelical circles, a person must confess their sins. Yet most of MAGA’s hardcore supporters and activist have yet to confess their first sin.

Their sin is always someone else’s fault or someone else’s lie. They never confess sin, therefore they cannot be Christian.
