They said, “At the heart of liberty is the right to define one’s own concept of existence, of meaning, of the universe, and of the mystery of human life.”” People having freedom of conscience is a “tragedy”? The horror!!!
MAGA mullah James Dobson calls for religious dictatorship by force of government: “The scriptural principles which our founding fathers incorporated must again be brought to bear on every aspect of life, including education, government and law.” Every aspect of life. That, by definition, is totalitarianism.
Listed hate group Family Research Council considers it “stunning” that women think that we should have control over our own reproductive systems: “The most stunning part of the [Beijing Conference] Platform is its pronouncement that women have a ‘human right’ to control their own reproduction.” Note the use of sarcastic quotes around the term “human right.” That sums up this hate group’s dim view of human rights.
Listed hate group American Family Association seriously claims that state governments don’t have to respect First Amendment rights: “The First Amendment only restricts the federal government: “CONGRESS shall make no law…” The First Amendment was never intended by the Founders to serve as a restraint on states or schools.”
MAGA thug and former Christian Coalition chapter chair Jay Rogers threatens, “Nor do we want the state to dominate the church. We want both church and state to conform to God’s law. Thus we advocate a “theocracy” — the rule of God in society through His law.”
Convicted Trump henchman Michael Flynn proclaims that there must be only one religion in the United States: “So, if we are going to have one nation under God, which we must, we have to have one religion, one nation under God and one religion under God.”
Bryan Fischer, of the MAGA hate group American Family Association, basically said that Native Americans deserved to be massacred because they didn’t religiously conform enough to satisfy Fischer: “Is this to say the same holds true for native American tribes today? In many respects, the answer is of course no. But in some senses, the answer is yes. Many of the tribal reservations today remain mired in poverty and alcoholism because many native Americans continue to cling to the darkness of indigenous superstition instead of coming into the light of Christianity and assimilating into Christian culture.” Oh, and read the comments.
Totalitarian mullah Gary Bauer, then of the hate group Family Research Council, reveals the dirty, big-government secret why MAGA fascists suddenly turned against George W. Bush’s nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court: “When millions of ‘values voters’ went into their voting booths and reelected George W. Bush and sent more conservatives to the United States Senate,” Bauer concluded, “I don’t think they had in mind putting someone on the Supreme Court who thought legislating morality was a mistake!”
Vicious theocrat D. James Kennedy, who is now thankfully dead (good fucking riddance) proclaimed this militant, aggressive threat to all free people: “As the vice-regents of God, we are to bring His truth and His will to bear on every sphere of our world and our society. We are to exercise godly dominion and influence over our neighborhoods, our schools, our government … our entertainment media, our news media, our scientific endeavors – in short, over every aspect and institution of human society.” If that isn’t a threat to impose wall-to-wall totalitarian control over every pubic inch of our lives, I don’t know what is. (Yes, I said “pubic inch” instead of “cubic inch,” because that’s where this man’s dirty mind spent every waking hour obsessing over: our pubic regions.)
Rush Limbaugh’s brother admits it: Our nation’s supposed “biblical foundation” is code for using the brute force of government to force compliance with the dictates of his specific religion. “Sadly, chillingly, it’s all based on a lie: that the Framers intended to create an impregnable wall of separation between religion and government. But whatever the Framers believed, they certainly didn’t intend to bastardize government from its Biblical parentage the instant it was spawned. What sense would it have made for them to build our Constitution on the solid, immovable rock of Biblical principles, then immediately uproot that foundational anchor?” The topic of the entire piece is the “necessity” if using the power of government to compel compliance with “official” religious teachings.

Government is under God’s authority.” I swear, these people must have recurring nightmares of being dive-bombed by flying killer penises, because that’s all they can think about.
Face it. When MAGA idols such as Marjorie Taylor Greene warns that “God is sending eclipses” to threaten America into surrendering to theocracy, we are truly faced with a Stone Age mentality. Before long, all of modern medicine will be cast aside, and we’ll be back to the days of “curing” disease with faith healers and bloodletting, and barbershops doubling as surgical centers.
