  1. His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off.
  2. Never admit a fault or wrong.
  3. Never concede that there may be some good in your enemy.
  4. Never leave room for alternatives.
  5. Never accept blame.
  6. Concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong.
  7. People will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.

This first installment will examine #1: Never allow the public to cool off.

Never allow the public to cool off.

Trumpism is constant chaos: one deliberately created crisis after another, with each new manufactured crisis pushing the previous crisis out of the public’s collective memory. Let’s un-repress a few of those memories.

July 18, 2018: Trump infuriates the world with his “shithole countries” remark.
June, 2018: Trump begins separating children from parents at southern border.
September 13, 2018: Trump calls Hurricane Maria’s death toll in Puerto Rico “fake news.”
October 19, 2018: Trump praises thug Greg Gianforte for act of violence against reporter.
February 9, 2019: Trump mocks genocide of Native Americans while hurling racial slur at Elizabeth Warren
March 20, 2019: Trump heaps sick-headed comments about the late John McCain shortly after his death.
May 29 thru June 1, 2019: Trump demeans and threatens violence on protesters of the murder of George Floyd.
July 14, 2019: Trump tells four women of color to “go back where they came from.” Three of the four were born in the U. S.
December 12, 2019: Trump whines and shrieks about Greta Thunberg, a teenager named Time Magazine’s Person or the Year.
April 13, 2020: Trump demeans the press in a prolonged tirade, claiming that he should be allowed to be king, claiming “total authority.”
September 3, 2020: Trump visits a World War I cemetery and says of those buried there, “it’s filled with losers.”
September 23, 2020: Trump refuses to commit to a peaceful transfer of power.
October 17, 2020: Trump proclaims “Lock ’em all up,” referring to those who disagree with him on policy.
November 7, 2020: Trump vows to lay siege with unending chaos because he lost the election.
November 12, 2020: Trump tells massive election lie, claiming millions of votes were taken from him.
November 20, 2020: Trump begins massive onslaught of frivolous lawsuits aimed at preventing election certification.
December 13, 2020: Trump continues to vow chaos even after Supreme Court rejects his frivolous claims.
December 22, 2020: Trump pardons his convicted allies and assorted war criminals.
January 6, 2021: The Insurrection.

See the pattern? Driving constant, nonstop outrage and strain intended to wear the country down. That’s Hitler’s tactic.

Next installment: “Never admit a fault or wrong.”
